According to research completed by the Center for Disease Control, excessive drinking results in more than 4,300 deaths of underage youth every year. To help combat this in our state, the Indiana Youth Services Association (IYSA) coordinated a lifeline for youth that offers amnesty to high school and college students who use “Text to Voice” services to report emergencies to help save a friend’s life. Our goal was to find a creative way to educate this audience on the resources provided to them and encourage its use in an effort to save lives.

We employed two robust social media campaigns targeted to high school and college aged students throughout the state of Indiana. Together, the campaigns generated over 8.4 million impressions with over 98,000 engagements on Snapchat and over 1.9 million impressions with over 2,000 engagements on Facebook.
